Physical fitness is a priority in Miami Beach, with plenty of opportunities for gyms, parks, walking trails, country clubs, recreational facilities, and endless water activities.

When the sun goes down, Miami Beach exudes a distinct energy as one of the hottest spots in the world for entertainment and dancing until the early morning hours. Nightclubs with trendy music and lively partygoers line the iconic streets. That's not to say it's impossible to enjoy a delightful cocktail at a quaint bar, spending a quiet evening with family and friends.

Dining, Entertainment, & Shopping

Miami Beach is home to many trendy eateries, with delectable dining choices from places such as the iconic Matador Room, reminiscent of the 1940s supper clubs, now serving seasonal Caribbean and South American cuisines in their sunken oval dining room.

The legendary
Joe's Stone Crab is the oldest restaurant in Miami, featuring locally sourced stone crabs harvested from the tip of Florida's peninsula to Key West. The world-class cuisine is in high demand among locals and tourists alike, with the famous stone crabs only available seasonally from October through May.

Sweet Liberty is a hip cocktail bar that must be visited at least once, offering world-class cocktails, creative American food, and entertaining drag shows.  Gianni's is an Italian-Mediterranean restaurant inside the former Versace mansion in South Beach, now the ultra-luxury Villa Casa Casuarina boutique hotel. Enjoy caviar and champagne before your entrée arrives, sitting alongside the mosaic pool that features 24-karat gold tiles.

For high-end shopping, visit Bal Harbour Shops, a prime spot for exploring unique products in a tropical outdoor setting. Anchored by Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus, shops include Gucci, Prada, Chanel, and many more. There are also on-trend label boutiques and upscale dining offered at the longstanding Carpaccio, a favorite Italian restaurant among local celebrities and prominent residents.

Things to Do

Known for its sleek architecture and high-end fashion houses, Miami Design District features modern and contemporary art galleries, luxury boutiques, celebrity-chef restaurants, and public art installations to create a vibrant, cutting-edge atmosphere. There are 120 flagship stores from designers such as Louis Vuitton, Hermes, Fendi, and more.

The area has many beautiful parks, including Soundscape Park, a lush contemporary space that blends music and design. Free performances complement the high-tech audio and visual effects with white concrete pathways traversing through an oasis of palms and native trees. The Normandy Shores Golf Club offers an 18-hole award-winning course and Grade-A dining with breathtaking views of the Miami skyline.

High-end activities, such as boarding a luxury yacht or hopping into a helicopter for a view of the city, are readily available. Monet Yacht Charters provides a fleet of catamarans and luxury boats with five-star service that includes private chefs, jet skis, live music, and photography services.

Spas are also plentiful in Miami Beach, with establishments like the posh Lapis at the iconic Fontainebleau hotel offering custom massages and luxurious water-therapy treatments for a never-ending day of pampering.
